Michael L. Petro, 70, of Leesburg, Ind., passed away at 9:50 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012, in his residence.

He was born April 25, 1942 in Columbus, Ind., to Estle and Alline (Burgett) Petro. He resided in Kosciusko County since 2004 and was formerly of Fishers, Ind.He retired from Davidson’s Industries of Fishers as a salesman in building materials. He was a member of North Webster American Legion Post #252 and Fishers American Legion Post #470 where he was a Past Commander. Michael faithfully served his country in the United States Army as Specialist 4 (T) from 1966 to 1968 in the Vietnam Conflict.

Mr. Petro is survived a son: Mark (Melissa) Petro; and a daughter: Megan (Troy) Reust, both of Fishers; and grandchildren: Jacob, Alline and Andrew Petro and Lucas and Zackery Reust.

A memorial gathering will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at the Fishers American Legion Post #470 9091 E. 126^th St. Fishers. Interment services will be privately held.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
