Todd Allan Watkins
Todd Allan Watkins, 44, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 4:35 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2012, in his residence.
On Dec. 7, 1967, he was born in Warsaw to Ed Watkins and Diana (Smith) Rhodes and the late Bill Rhodes. He was a lifetime resident of Warsaw, working at Bentler Inc., Goshen, for 5 years and then working at Chrysler. He also lived for a time in Tennessee. Todd graduated from Boot Camp in 1988, serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1988 – 1994. He was a veteran of Desert Storm.
Todd was a member of American Legion Post #253, North Webster, VFW Post #1126 and was very active with Wounded Warriors.
He is survived by his son: Eric Watkins, Warsaw; mother: Diana Rhodes, Warsaw; father: Ed Watkins, Manistee, Mich.; two sisters: Michelle Bamburgh, Bremen; and Stacy Rhodes, Warsaw; two brothers: Jeffrey Rhodes, Columbia City; and Chris Rhodes, Warsaw; and several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father: Bill Rhodes; a sister: Lisa Rhodes; maternal grandparents: Dale and Mary Alice Smith; and paternal grandparents: Joe and Inez Watkins.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Graveside services will be at 11 am, Saturday, June 23, at Oakwood Cemetery, Legion Circle, Warsaw.
The family requests memorial contributions are to be made to Todd Watkins Memorial Education Fund, c/o Diana Rhodes.
