William ‘Bill’ Richardson
William “Bill” Richardson, 83, Warsaw, passed away at 2:10 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Miller’s Merry Manor.
He was born Oct. 2, 1928, in Floyd County, Ky., to John Richardson and Ellen (Shepherd) Richardson. He was married on Oct. 21, 1950, to Mary Ann Haywood, who preceded him in death on Jan. 21, 2008.
Bill was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 73 years, and he was a 1947 graduate of Claypool High School, Claypool, Indiana. He was a member of New Hope Freewill Baptist Church of Warsaw, and had worked at Dalton Foundry of Warsaw, Tyler Machinery and at Hand Industries, where he retired from in 1995. He was a wonderful family man – nursing his wife in the later part of her life. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He will be lovingly remembered by his two sons: Jerry L. (Paula) Richardson, Leesburg, Ind.; Larry D. (JoAnn) Richardson, Warsaw; two grandchildren: Jerry W. (Sarah) Richardson, Warsaw; Jonathan (Nora) Richardson, Chicago, Ill.; three great-grandchildren: Will and Maddy Richardson, Warsaw; and Emmett Richardson, Chicago; and a brother: Curtis (Violet) Richardson, Argos, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. His funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, at the funeral home and will be officiated by Pastor Dave Cripe. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
