Ruth L. Kehler, 100, of Winona Lake, Ind., passed away at 12:45 p.m.  Saturday, May 26, 2012,  at Grace Village Health Care in Winona Lake.

She was born on July 3, 1911, in Etna Green, Ind., to Franklin Clabaugh and Clara (Pheister) Clabaugh. On Oct. 19, 1926, she was married to Dale Clinton Kehler, who preceded her in death on June 1, 1997.

Ruth was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County and spent her retirement years in Florida. For most of her life she was a homemaker, and later she managed a variety store in Bradenton, Fla., and also sold Fuller Brush Cosmetics in Warsaw, Ind . She was a 1928 graduate of Etna Green High School and was a member of the Tuesday Dramatic Club.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son: Larry (Ann) Kehler, O’Fallon, Mo.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 11 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 1, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. Her funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Bill Shipman. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery of Warsaw.
