Virginia Zuck
Virginia Zuck, 101, of Winona Lake, Ind., passed away at 4:20 p.m. May 22, 2012, in Grace Village Health Care Winona Lake.
She was born Dec. 5, 1910, in Rockford, Ill., to James M. and Erna (Reichstein) Wise.
Formerly of Rockford she relocated with her family to Winona Lake in 1945 and later to Grace Village in Winona Lake. She was a graduate of Rockford High School, attended the University of Illinois, attended Grace College and graduated from Manchester College with a Bachelor’s Degree. She received her Masters Degree in Library Science from Indiana University.
On March 14, 1931, she was united in marriage to Raymond F. Zuck in Decatur, Ill. Raymond preceded her on Dec. 11, 1973. She was formerly employed by the Warsaw Times Union Newspaper and was long time employee of the Warsaw Community School Corporation serving as an English Teacher and Librarian. She was a 60-year member of the Church of the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church of Winona Lake, IN.
Virginia is survived by three sons: Greg (Theresa) Zuck, Estes Park, Colo.; David Zuck, Escondido, Calif., and Richard R. (Carol) Zuck, Seal Beach, Calif.; a sister-in-law: Helen Wise of Rockford; grandchildren: David Zuck, Escondido, Calif.; Mark (Wendy) Zuck, Boulder Colo.; and Cathy (Jim Smith) Zuck, Louisville, Colo.; and great-grandchildren: Paxton and Vander Zuck, Boulder; and Anna and Mikael Smith, Louisville, Colo.
At McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, a visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and the funeral service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, May 27. A gathering will be held following the service at The Church of the Good Shepherd in Winona Lake. Pastor Rob Harrison will officiate. Interment will be at noon CDT Tuesday, May 29, in Willwood Burial Park Rockford, Ill.
