Teddy Wayne Elliott
Teddy Wayne Elliot, 52, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 1:45 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2012, in his home.
He was born Aug. 31, 1959, in McDowell, Ky., to James Orval and Alvie (Ousley) Elliott. He married Carol Lynn Ehmcke on Dec. 24, 1982, in Winona Lake, Ind. He worked as a maintenance worker for Brunk Corporation in Goshen, Ind.
He belonged to Francis Slocum Trail Riders and enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, hunting and he loved the outdoors. He was a hard worker, very honest, had a heart as big as Texas, and loved his family – especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Elliott is survived by his wife: Carol Lynn Elliott, Warsaw; two sons: Johnie Ray (Shannon) Dove, Dover, Delaware; Richard Lloyd Elliott, Warsaw; three daughters: Karen Ann Dove, Springhill, Fla.; Cheryl Kay (Ronald) Redden, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Christina Marie (John) Brown, Columbia City, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; a sister: Lara (Joe) Miller, Warsaw; and two brothers: William (Nancy) Bentley, Warsaw; George Elliott, Mentone, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 24, at the funeral home with Pastor Erik Ohman, Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Warsaw. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg, Ind.
Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of choice or simple acts of kindness may be done for others in Teddy’s memory.
