Kenneth E. Wilson
Kenneth E. Wilson, 64, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012, at 8:20 a.m. in Indiana University Medical Center Indianapolis.
He was born Feb. 23, 1948, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Howard and Margaret (Neher) Wilson.
He was a 39-year resident of Pierceton, Ind. On Dec. 18, 1971, in Hicksville, Ohio, he was united in marriage to Lana M. Green.
Kenneth was a Platter Polisher for R.R. Donnelly and Sons Warsaw, IN and retired after 40 years of service. He attended Pierceton United Methodist Church. Kenneth faithfully served his country in the United States Army Infantry from 1967 to 1969 during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Pierceton Lions Club and served as Past President and Treasurer.
He is survived by his wife: Lana Wilson, Pierceton; daughters: Karen (Walter) Braunsdorf of South Bend, Ind; and Cheryl (companion Robert Martinez) Wilson, Hayward, Calif.; a sister: Pam Hinrich, Churubusco, Ind.; brothers: Jim (Ann) Wilson, Decatur, Ind.; Carl (Bonnie) Wilson, Larwill, Ind.; Keith Wilson, North Webster, Ind.; Jon (Cheri) Wilson, Spencerville, Ind.; and Kevin (Sharron) Wilson, Philadelphia, Pa.; brother-in-law: David Crooks, Churubusco, Ind.; and grandchildren: Ayr’un, Justin, Mariclare and Opalruth Braunsdorf and Marie Queen, and Robert “Buddy” and Charles Martinez.
His parents and sister Cynthia Crooks preceded him.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in McHatton-Sadler Warsaw with a Lions memorial service at 3:30 p.m. Services will be held Monday, April 30, at 4 p.m. in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel Warsaw. American Legion Post 49 and VFW Post 1126 will render military honors. Pastor Holly White will officiate the services. Interment services will be private.
The family requests memorial contributions be directed to the Pierceton Lions Club or the Pierceton United Methodist Church Window Fund.
