Dan Shepherd
Dan Shepherd, 72, of North Webster, Ind., passed away at 6:10 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, at Warsaw Meadows Nursing Home in Warsaw, Ind.
He was born Aug. 18, 1939, in Gunlock, KY, to Frank & Ella (Wireman) Shepherd.
He attended Burket Schools and was married on Aug. 12, 1962, in Silver Lake, IN to Linda S. Wagoner who survives. He grew up in Silver Lake, lived in San Fernando Valley, CA for 22 years before moving to North Webster in 1984. He was formerly employed at Phillips Manufacturing in Syracuse for several years and Steve’s Transmission Service in Sepulveda, CA for 20 years.
Mr. Shepherd is survived by his wife: Linda Shepherd, North Webster; two son: Jeffrey (Julie) Shepherd, Sugar Loaf, Calif.; and Michael (Angela) Shepherd, North Webster; four grandchildren: Jeffrey Shepherd, Julian Shepherd, Ashlee, Shepherd and Scott Shepherd; four sisters: Mrs. Junior (Thelma) Jackson, North Manchester; Mrs. Cecil (Ocie) Shoemaker, Akron, Ind.; Cynthia Jane Harmon, Wabash, Ind.; and Mrs. Gary (Avanell) Smith, Akron, Ind,; four brothers: Johnny (Jackie) Shepherd, Silver Lake, Ind.; Chester Shepherd, Warsaw; Joe Cephus Shepherd, Disco, Ind.; and Jeff (Vicki) Shepherd of Leesburg
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Opal Shepherd and Betty Fletcher; three brothers: Estel, Henry and Lee Shepherd.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 27, at the funeral home. Jack Stump along with Rev. Mark Wagoner of the First Church of God in Neon, KY will be officiating. Burial will follow in the North Webster Cemetery (Mock Addition)
