Warsaw Police Department Reports Increase In Thefts From Storage Facilities
Press Release
WARSAW — The Warsaw Police Department has seen a rise in local thefts from storage facilities and is encouraging the community use an online inventory system to record property within units.
On Thursday, July 7, WPD posted to its Facebook page about “seeing a major rise in thefts from storage facilities in the recent weeks.”
ReportIt, powered by LeadsOnline, is a safe, secure and free option for storage facility users to record property.
“It will greatly enhance law enforcement’s opportunity to recover your stolen property, if you are the victim of theft at your storage unit,” read the Facebook post. “This website allows you to securely store serial numbers, item descriptions, pictures, and scans of receipts, which will aid investigators in the ability to identify these items at a later time in the event of theft or loss.”
