Woman Suspected In Two Auto Thefts Arrested For Another
Staff Report
MILFORD — A Warsaw woman who was out on bond for two out-of-county auto theft incidents was arrested in a Kosciusko County auto theft case.
Lindsey R. Park, 33, 340 E. Levi Lee Road, Warsaw, is charged with theft, a level 6 felony.
On June 15, a Milford Police officer spoke with a man who said his 2007 Pontiac G6 had been stolen from his residence. The man said he contacted family members and relatives to see if anyone knew the vehicle’s whereabouts.
According to court documents, the man said nobody he made contact with had knowledge about the missing vehicle.
Two days later, on June 17, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a location in Syracuse regarding a report of a verbal argument. Upon arrival at the scene, the deputy found a 2007 Pontiac G6 bearing the same registration as the stolen vehicle. The Pontiac was parked behind the outbuildings on the property.
While approaching the vehicle, the deputy noticed the vehicle’s hazard lights were activated and interior light was on. The deputy also noticed someone in the vehicle’s driver’s seat was moving around frantically.
The deputy opened the driver’s door and took the person, later identified as Park, into custody. After being read her Miranda rights, Park refused to speak with law enforcement.
Park did not have permission to be in control or possession of the Pontiac G6.
Park was previously convicted of methamphetamine possession in Kosciusko County in February 2019.
At the time of this case, she was out on bond for two auto theft cases originating from DeKalb and Noble Counties.
For the Kosciusko County case, Park has already been arrested and released on her own recognizance. She has an initial hearing at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 7, in Kosciusko Superior Court Three.
