Etna Green To Celebrate ‘Christmas in July’ With Monday Parade
Staff Report
ETNA GREEN — Etna Green will celebrate “Christmas in July” for its Fourth of July celebration.
It’s set for Monday, July 4. Josh Hartzell of Hartzell Farm Feed & Supply LLC, who helped start the town’s Fourth of July celebration in town in 2019, said the theme “Christmas in July” was chosen for this year’s Fourth events because the town used to have a Christmas in July event.
Etna Green’s events this year kick off with a parade. Lineup is at 10 a.m. down West Broadway Street, beginning at the Etna Green fire station. Parade grand marshals this year are Bob and Jan Rockhill.
The parade will start at 11 a.m. and turn onto South Walnut Street, then on to West High Street and end up at Heritage Park. There will be food and other vendors at the park.
Tractors are welcome to line up at the park for a tractor show after the parade.
The day will end with fireworks, set to go off at 10 p.m. at the park.
The July 4th festival is planned by a committee, including Theresa Hartzell, Cate Gardner and Matt and Anna Damron.
