WCHS Band Donates Uniforms To Wheeler High School
Staff Report
WARSAW – Warsaw Community High School Marching Band has donated its old uniforms to a school in northwest Indiana.
The uniforms were collected and transported last week to Wheeler High School in Valparaiso.
The Warsaw marching band offered the following statement:
“Due to the generosity of our community, we were recently able to purchase new uniforms. This, in turn, left us with over a hundred “older” uniforms that were not needed. We wanted to be good stewards of what we have been given and have been able to locate a school that we can donate these uniforms to.”
He said Wheeler High Schools has been using the same uniforms for almost 40 years and are unable to purchase new ones.
“We would wholeheartedly like to thank our community for their generosity so that we can in turn be a blessing to a great bunch of students that are in need,” the statement said.
