Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 11:08 a.m. Thursday, June 16, West US 30, south of North CR 200W, Warsaw. Drivers: Craig Kaminski, 53, South Truman Court, Monee, Ill.; and Josue Dusenge, 36, Madison Avenue Southeast, Grand Rapids, Mich. Kaminski was traveling west on US 30 when he rear-ended the trailer on Dusenge’s vehicle. Dusenge was slowing down to stop and turn at the intersection of North CR 200W. Kaminski was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital with a complaint of lower leg pain. Damage up to $25,000.
- 9:55 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, East CR 900S, west of South CR 100E, Claypool. Driver: Rebecca L. Bergman, 24, South CR 275E, Warsaw. Bergman was traveling west on East CR 900S when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 6:01 p.m. Thursday, June 16, SR 15, south of Jalynn Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Rachel L. Mooar, 25, Heron Boulevard, Warsaw; and Kurt S. Kaufman, 52, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Mooar was traveling south on SR 15 and realized she was in the wrong turn lane to get onto US 30. While attempting to merge back into traffic on SR 15, she pulled into the path of Kaufman’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 5:23 p.m. Thursday, June 16, South County Farm Road, north of Park Ridge Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Jeremiah J. Paseka, 34, Flamingo Drive, Warsaw; and Alec E. Cunningham, 26, Royal Crest Drive, Fort Wayne. Paseka was traveling north on County Farm Road and attempted to go around Cunningham’s vehicle when a collision occurred. Cunningham was attempting to turn left onto Park Ridge Drive. Damage up to $5,000.
- 4:53 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 945 N. Parker St., Warsaw. Drivers: Amy M. Comadoll, 50, West CR 600N, Warsaw; and Tiffny M. Cornett, 27, Ranch Road, Warsaw. Comadoll was backing her vehicle from a parking space when she hit Cornett’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 4:35 p.m. Thursday, June 16, South Buffalo Street, north of East Prairie Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Ronnie Prater, 74, South CR 450W, Claypool; Linda G. Baker, 72, East Main Street, Silver Lake; and Tyler M. Eckel, 21, West Center Street, Warsaw. Prater was traveling south on South Buffalo Street when he rear-ended Baker’s vehicle. This resulted in Baker’s vehicle being pushed into Eckel’s vehicle. Prater complained of facial pain due to airbag deployment but refused treatment at the scene. Baker complained of neck pain and was treated by medics at the scene. A passenger in Eckel’s vehicle, Ryah N. Delaney, 22, Warsaw, was checked by medics at the scene after being struck in the mouth by her phone during the impact. Damage up to $10,000.
- 4:22 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 119 E. Canal St., Warsaw. Driver: Connie R. Haney, 72, West SR 25, Mentone. Haney was backing her vehicle from a parking space when she hit a parked vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 2:18 p.m. Thursday, June 16, North CR 150W, near Executive Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: unknown; and Mickala E. Erdelyi, 26, West CR 150S, Warsaw. Erdelyi was traveling north on North CR 150W when her vehicle was rear-ended by a white pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck left the scene. Damage up to $2,500.
- 1:28 p.m. Thursday, June 16, SR 15, near Herscher Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Caleb M. Zuniga, 22, Greentree Court, Fort Wayne; and William L. Holloway, 29, Monroe Street, Rochester. Zuniga and Holloway were both traveling south on SR 15 when Zuniga rear-ended Holloway’s vehicle. Holloway had to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting a bicyclist, who entered the intersection from Herscher Drive onto SR 15. Zuniga sustained an abrasion to his lower forearm but refused treatment at the scene. Damage up to $25,000.
- 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, SR 15, near Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Christina Gonzalez, 31, Anchorage Road Lot 83, Warsaw; Joe A. Rodriguez Perez, 40, East Walnut Street, Silver Lake; and Tracey L. Flannery, 56, Heron Boulevard, Warsaw. Gonzalez was at the intersection of Anchorage Road and North Detroit Street. She proceeded to turn right onto North Detroit Street when she hit Rodriguez Perez’s vehicle. Rodriguez Perez was traveling north on North Detroit Street at the time of the accident. Flannery was traveling south on North Detroit Street when debris from Gonzalez’s and Rodriguez Perez’s collision hit her vehicle. A witness who was behind Rodriguez Perez’s vehicle said they had a green light. A second witness behind Gonzalez’s vehicle said Gonzalez turned right at a red light. A third witness who was to the left of Gonzalez’s vehicle said the light was green for both him and Gonzalez. Gonzalez complained of elbow pain and sustained a minor scratch. She was treated at the scene. Damage up to $50,000.
