Holcomb Directs Flags Be Lowered After School Massacre

INDIANAPOLIS – Gov. Eric Holcomb is directing flags in Indiana to be flown at half-staff to honor and remember the victims of the horrific tragedy in Uvalde, Texas on Tuesday, May 24.
Per President Joe Biden’s order, flags should be flown at half-staff immediately until sunset on Saturday, May 28. Gov. Holcomb is asking businesses and residents in Indiana to lower their flags, according to a statement from the governor’s office.
The shooting happened around the noon hour. As of Wednesday morning, authorities said 19 children and two adults were killed. Authorities said the shooter was killed on the scene by law enforcement officials.
