Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 12:42 a.m. Friday, May 13, North CR 100E, north of East CR 350N, Warsaw. Driver: Emily K. Shepherd, 23, West Clearwater Drive, Warsaw. Shepherd was traveling north on CR 100E when her vehicle left the right side of the roadway and swiped a tree. Her vehicle then traveled across the road o the driver’s side. She was taken by medics to a local hospital to be checked out further. Damage up to $25,000.
- 10:25 p.m. Thursday, May 12, North CR 850E, south of East CR 500N, North Webster. Driver: Riley A. Menzie, 19, North Sawgrass Lane, Leesburg. Menzie was traveling north on CR 850E when a raccoon entered the roadway. Damage up to $1,000.
- 3:57 p.m. Thursday, May 12, West US 30, west of North CR 750W, Warsaw. Driver: Theodore R. Wilson, 62, no address information listed. Wilson was traveling west on West US 30 when his vehicle left the roadway to avoid hitting a black pickup truck which entered his lane of travel. Wilson’s vehicle then hit two construction signs. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 6:59 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, Frontage Road, west of Access Road, Warsaw. Driver: Emma L. Branning, 19, South CR 350W, South Whitley. Branning was traveling east on Frontage Road when her vehicle left the roadway. She sustained a minor injury to her bottom lip and was taken to a local hospital. Damage up to $2,500.
- 4:14 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, South SR 15, near East Prairie Street, Warsaw. Driver: William R. Craft, 52, Pawnee Drive Southeast, Alexandria, Minn. Craft was traveling north on SR 15 and attempted to turn east onto East Prairie Street when his vehicle hit a street signal sign. Damage up to $2,500.
