Warsaw High School Holding Spring Dance Concert On May 19
Press Release
WARSAW — The Warsaw Community High School dance department will present their spring dance concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at the Performing Arts Center.
The program will feature WCHS students and elementary students from Claypool, Harrison, and Leesburg Elementary Schools.
Support friends and family in the WCHS dance department as they demonstrate grace and elegance in a variety of styles, including: tap, modern, jazz, lyrical, lindy hop, and choreography with African-style influences.
New this year is “Kids Dance, Warsaw!” KDW is a volunteer, donation-based outreach program to elementary students throughout Warsaw Community Schools. This semester includes 37 kindergarten through fourth-grade students who will perform at the concert. At the end of the evening, all WCHS dance and KDW students will dance to “Any Dream Will Do” with brightly colored streamers.
Free will donations will be accepted for the dance department. All donations go to the dance program for the purchase of costumes, shoes, and free dance opportunities for future WCS students.
