Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 6:26 a.m. Thursday, April 28, East CR 575N, west of North CR 75E, Leesburg. Driver: Patrick A. Briar, 35, North Old SR 15, Leesburg. Briar was traveling east on East CR 575N when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 5:23 a.m. Thursday, April 28, South SR 25, east of South CR 550W, Palestine. Driver: Daniel G. Hilliard, 51, West Main Street, Mentone. Hilliard was traveling east on SR 25 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.
- 10:04 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, South County Farm Road, south of East CR 700S, Claypool. Driver: Ridge G. Fierstos, 19, West Main Street, North Manchester. Fierstos was traveling south on South Country Club Road when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $10,000.
- 3:29 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, East CR 450N, west of North CR 475E, Leesburg. Driver: Roderick E. Blankenship, 53, East CR 450N, Leesburg. Blankenship was traveling west on East CR 450N when a raccoon entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 12:41 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, SR 13, near Henry Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Nolan T. Ransome, 18, East Carroll Street, Syracuse; and Jimmy D. Strong, 62, Sunrise Drive, Crown Point. Ransome did not see Strong’s vehicle and hit the left rear of the tanker trailer attached to Strong’s vehicle. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 4:49 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, East Center Street, east of North Hickory Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Arthur D. Meadows, 61, North Hickory Street, Warsaw; and Charles E. Pulliam, 60, East Sandy Drive, Warsaw. Meadows’ vehicle rear-ended Pulliam’s. Pulliam complained of neck and back pain and was treated by medics at the scene. Damage up to $5,000.
