Echoes Of The Past Kick Off Season At Tractor Supply
Press Release
WARSAW — The gorgeous weather on Saturday, April 23, brought out a parking lot full of vintage and antique tractors and garden tractors to kick off the show season for Echoes of the Past.
Allis Chalmers, John Deere, Farmall, Oliver, International, Ford and Case tractors were all represented at the show. When those visiting were asked which tractor was their favorite, no particular tractor stood out to them. The overwhelming answer was that all the tractors were very unique and cool in their own way. Homemade ice cream was made using a tractor provided by club member Keith Young, with Jessica Joy preparing and dishing up all the deliciousness. It was a welcome treat on such a warm day, with many coming back for seconds or even thirds.
If something more substantial was what your palate was craving, McHyser BBQ brought in their food truck, dishing out great BBQ that could be smelled for miles. One of the biggest attractions at the show was “Lucy,” a Bell 47 used in the film “Whirlybird” in the 1950s and flew Lucille Ball between engagements at Desilu Studios. The helicopter, brought in by Brian from WIOE Radio, broadcasted live from the show.
Patrons at the show flocked to learn more about the helicopter, checking out the photos of Lucille Ball and talking with Brian about the history of the helicopter. Those attending the show could enter to win a free helicopter ride, courtesy of Brian and WIOE. Two winners were selected: Joyce and Ed Dauscher from Columbia City; and Matt and Ashley Pulley from Pierceton.
