Governor Directs Flags To Be Lowered For Fallen Marine

INDIANAPOLIS – Gov. Eric Holcomb is directing flags to be flown at half-staff statewide to honor the life and sacrifice of USMC Capt. Matthew Tomkiewicz of Fort Wayne.
Tomkiewicz, 27, died March 19 in the line of duty while taking part in NATO military exercises in Norway.
Flags should be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Sunday, April 3.
Holcomb is asking businesses and residents in Indiana to lower their flags.
A public service for Tomkiewicz is planned for Sunday at Parkview Field in Fort Wayne. For more about his life and funeral arrangements, click here.
