Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 7:47 p.m. Sunday, March 13, East Old Road 30, east of North CR 900E, Pierceton. Driver: Habi B. Basar, 37, Vantage View Drive, Fort Wayne. Basar was traveling west on East Old Road 30 when he swerved his vehicle to avoid hitting deer in the roadway. This caused his vehicle to leave the roadway and hit a tree. Basar complained of left shoulder and neck pain but refused treatment at a hospital. Damage up to $5,000.
- 7:05 p.m. Saturday, March 12, East CR 175N, east of North CR 175E, Warsaw. Driver: Todd D. Volk, 58, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Volk was traveling east from North CR 175E on East CR 175N when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 2:10 p.m. Saturday, March 12, EMS C24 Lane, near North CR 175E, Warsaw. Driver: Shawna L. Howard, 38, EMS C24 Lane, Warsaw. Howard was traveling north on CR 175E and attempted to make a right-hand turn onto C24 Lane when she hit a steel post head-on. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $25,000.
- 4:57 a.m. Saturday, March 12, South CR 450W, south of West CR 350S, Warsaw. Driver: Donald L. Scott, 54, South Scott Road, Claypool. Scott was traveling north on South CR 450W when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 9:22 a.m. Friday, March 11, East CR 1000N, east of North Mulberry Drive, Cromwell. Driver: Jeffery W. Hathaway, 57, South CR 100W, Silver Lake. Hathaway was traveling east on CR 1000N when his vehicle slid and left the roadway, hitting a tree. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 8:37 a.m. Friday, March 11, West Old Road 30, west of North Highland Place, Warsaw. Driver: Olivia A. Seif, 29, Trailsend Court, Warsaw. Seif was traveling east on West Old Road 30 when her vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 8:21 a.m. Friday, March 11, West CR 900N, east of North SR 15, Milford. Drivers: Daniel C. Tusing, 63, EMS D22B Lane, Syracuse; and Keith A. Carty, 64, Short Ridge Drive, Warsaw. Tusing was backing his vehicle on CR 900N, spreading sand, when he backed into Carty’s vehicle. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 7:32 a.m. Friday, March 11, North SR 19, south of West CR 250N, Etna Green. Driver: Jared A. Stephens, 38, East SR 14, Silver Lake. Stephens was traveling north on SR 19 when his vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 4:40 a.m. Friday, March 11, North CR 200E, north of East Armstrong Road, Leesburg. Driver: Hanna N. Kunkel, 24, EMS T46 Lane, Leesburg. Kunkel was traveling south on CR 200E when her vehicle slid and left the roadway, hitting a traffic sign. Damage up to $5,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 7:15 p.m. Sunday, March 13, SR 13, south of Washington Street, North Webster. Drivers: Hayle N. Doty, 33, EMS D24B Lane, Syracuse; Mark D. Hill, 52, West Sun Point Drive, Muncie; and Erin K. Kelly, 27, Honeysuckle Lane, Zionsville. Doty was traveling south on SR 13 when she rear-ended Hill’s vehicle. This resulted in Hill’s vehicle rear-ending Kelly’s vehicle. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 5:29 p.m. Friday, March 11, South Morton Street, south of West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Steven P. Zollinger, 18, South Paxton Drive, Warsaw; and Stephanie K. Graff, 48, Wilson Street, Warsaw. Zollinger was traveling east on West Winona Avenue when he rear-ended Graff’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 3:39 p.m. Friday, March 11, East Smith Street, near North Bay Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Eduardo E. Hernandez-Gutierr, 21, Oak Glen Drive 2, Warsaw; and Regan K. Brouwer, 18, Stone Camp Trail, Winona Lake. Hernandez-Gutierr was traveling east on East Smith Street when he rear-ended Brouwer’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 3:24 p.m. Friday, March 11, SR 15, north of West CR 300N, Warsaw. Drivers: Kaleb M. Greenwood, 25, Oak Glen Drive, Warsaw; Maria D. Carmen C. Marin Vazqu, 56, South Country Club Road, Warsaw; Thomas F. Keough, 28, West Center Street, Warsaw; and Juan C. Miranda, 23, West CR 250S, Warsaw. Greenwood was traveling south on North Detroit Street and was approaching the CR 300N intersection when he rear-ended Vazqu’s vehicle. This resulted in Vazqu’s vehicle rear-ending Keough’s vehicle, which resulted in Keough’s vehicle rear-ending Miranda’s vehicle. Vazqu complained of lower right arm pain and was taken to a local hospital by a family member. Keough complained of back pain. Damage up to $25,000.
- 7:41 a.m. Friday, March 11, Ranch Road, near Fisher Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Stephanie A. Cornett, 22, East Main Street Apartment C., North Manchester; and Adam J. Augustine, 39, South County Farm Road, Claypool. Cornett was traveling north on Ranch Road when his vehicle slid and rear-ended Augustine’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 7:29 a.m. Friday, March 11, Logan Street, near Rozella Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Dawson M. Morgan, 16, Aqueduct Lane, Warsaw; and Leah D. Jones, 61, South CR 200W, Silver Lake. Morgan was traveling west on Rozella Road and was entering a right turn lane when he slid into Jones’ vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 7:28 a.m. Friday, March 11, Mariners Drive, west of Husky Trail, Warsaw. Drivers: Brandon J. Becker, 21, North Queen Road, Walkerton; and Nicholas J. Lavelle, 32, North Barbee Road, Warsaw. Becker was traveling west on Mariners Drive and was entering a curve when he slid into Lavelle’s lane of travel, resulting in a collision. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 12:53 p.m. Thursday, March 10, SR 15, north of East Canal Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Joshua R. Gee, 20, West Cambridge Drive, Columbia City; and Lisa A. Hampton, 58, EMS C19A Lane, Warsaw. Gee was traveling south on SR 15 and made a left-hand turn to enter a business parking lot when he turned into the path of Hampton’s vehicle. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
