Warsaw Man Arrested For Battering Three Women
Staff Report
ETNA GREEN — A Warsaw man was arrested after allegedly battering three women.
Coulter Matthew Slone, 24, 2931 N. Williamson Drive, Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury and domestic battery with a prior conviction – enhancement, both level 6 felonies; domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor; and two counts of battery, both class B misdemeanors.
On Feb. 2, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a battery which occurred at an Etna Green residence. Upon arrival at the scene, the deputy noticed blood on the floor in the living room.
According to court documents, a woman at the scene said the blood was from her nose after being punched by Slone. She told the deputy Slone had drank alcohol and smoked marijuana. The woman was in a room when Slone started acting weird and then began hitting the woman.
When Slone attempted to leave the home, the woman tried stopping him so she could contact law enforcement. Slone allegedly wrapped his arm around the woman’s throat, threw her to the ground and started to punch her.
One of the woman’s sisters heard the fighting and hit Slone in an attempt to get him off the woman. Slone then began to punch the sister in the back of the head. When the woman’s mother attempted to break up the fight, Slone punched the mother in the mouth, court records said.
Medical personnel at the scene said the woman’s nose may be broken and that she had a hematoma on her head. Slone was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation and refused to speak with the deputy about what happened.
Slone was previously convicted of two counts of battery resulting in moderate bodily injury in Kosciusko County in September 2018. He was also previously convicted of battery resulting in bodily injury to a public safety officer in Allen County in February 2017.
Slone has already been arrested and released on his own recognizance. He has an initial hearing at 1 p.m. April 1, in Kosciusko Superior Court Two.
