James Lamar Pippenger, 81, formerly of Nappanee, died at 12:10 a.m., Tuesday morning, March 8, 2022, in Columbia City.

He was born Oct. 10, 1940.

He is survived by his three children: Todd (Sherri) Pippenger of Bourbon; Laura (Scott) Campbell of Warsaw; and Shawnta (Brian) Porter of Columbia City; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one brother, Richard (Joyce) Pippenger of Ocala, Fla.

Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee is in charge of arrangements.
