Gathering This Morning To Pray For Ukraine

WARSAW — Braving chilly temperatures even with the sunshine, approximately 50 residents from the county gathered at the Kosciusko County Courthouse this morning, Saturday, Feb. 26, to pray for Ukraine and peace.
Lead by the Greater Warsaw Ministerial Association, Ken Locke welcomed everyone to the gathering to support the government and people of Ukraine to defend liberty in their land. “Thank you all for coming this morning… I’ve been a hot mess the last few days, I am angry, I’ve been sad, I’ve been all over the place,” Locke stated.
Locke spoke to those that gathered introducing Pastor John Lowe, who has done ministry in the Ukraine for a long time, said he hasn’t slept for three days.
Lowe quoted Genesis 18:33, and the destruction due to the lack of righteous people. “We know there are a lot of righteous people in the Ukraine …” he stated before leading the group is prayer and introducing Slavic Sagach, Kiev, Ukraine and is a pastor in Bristol. Also present was Galyna Loughran, Winona Lake, who is from the Ukraine and still has family in that country.
“We often look at these distance nations somewhere in the desert where U.S. is fighting and we loose contact with reality.” said Sagach. “There’s a war, there’s another war, here or there and we just get calloused with these situations. Why so important about Ukraine\? Because Ukraine is simply a reflection of what is happening in this world. There is still a free world and there’s an enslaved world and I believe as U.S. of America should protect the atmosphere when it comes to spiritual realm, when it comes to what is happening in this world.”
Sagach still has family and friends in the Ukraine fighting, taking arms right now. He has a cousin who is fighting for his kids …”
Brian Lowe also lead prayer before the group.
Locke closed the gathering with prayer for America and the Ukraine. But before he closed the program he stated, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction We didn’t pass it to our children in the blood stream. it must be fought for, protected and handed on to them to do the same. Our monument over there says freedom isn’t free. … don’t think that we’re exempt here in America, that this can’t happen in America … happen to us too if we’re not careful.”
