WARSAW — Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory has received a $1,650 safety grant.
At the Warsaw Board of Public Works and Safety meeting on Friday, Feb. 18, at Warsaw City Hall, Wetzel Insurance Agency Risk Manager Byron Kauffman and Commercial Account Manager Missy Mitchell presented the Indiana Public Employers’ Plan Inc. (IPEP) grant to WWFT Chief Mike Wilson.
According to a press release, IPEP has partnered with Kauffman and Mitchell and WWFT Assistant Fire Chief Aaron Bolinger “to maximize opportunities to promote a safe work environment and assist with stretching their risk management resources.”
“This really helps our Assistant Chief Aaron Bolinger continue his OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) training, so that he can take that and provide that to all the employees inside the city,” said Wilson. “So this is really awesome for us and we really appreciate it.”
“Byron, a special thank you to you and Wetzel for promotion of that award,” added Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer. “I know our guys have worked hard and we appreciate your recognition of that.”
