Neva Mildred Sexton
Neva Mildred Sexton, 83, North Webster, passed away at 4:40 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, at Courtyard Healthcare in Goshen. She was born Aug. 21, 1938, in Indianapolis, to Carl Franklin and Virginia Mae (Butcher) Borders.
She attended Warsaw High School and lived in South Carolina for several years before returning to Kosciusko County permanently in 1976. She was formerly employed at Forest River in Goshen, Maple Leaf Farms in Milford, Oakwood Hotel in Syracuse, and Dekko Engineering in North Webster.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 253 in North Webster and attended Etna Troy Church near Columbia City.
She is survived by her children: Sabrina (Travis) Winebrenner of North Webster; and Brenda Rash of Syracuse; Dale Hatfield of North Webster; and eight grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Avanell “Ava” Borders of North Manchester; brother: George Francis (wife, Judy) borders of Crawfordsville; former companion’s children: Deb (Harvey) Hall of North Webster, Chuck Kruger of Syracuse, and Kenny Kruger of North Webster.
She was preceded in death by her parents, lifetime companion, Bill Kruger, sister, Lois Roberts, and brother, George Borders.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 6, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Bud Winstead officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Burial will be in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
