Habitat Holding Christmas Open House In Warsaw

WARSAW — The volunteers at Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County and the Habitat ReSale Outlet, are holding a Christmas Open House at 515 N. Park Avenue, Warsaw, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Nov. 13-14, 20-21, and Dec. 4-5.
This event will help raise funds for our local building projects.
Visitors will find one-of-a-kind professional quality holiday decor, created by local artisans, and priced to suit every budget. A wide variety of dressed trees will be available for sale, as well as garlands, festive centerpieces, wreaths, gift baskets, “Better Angel” ornaments and gourmet candy.
Complimentary treats will also be available to visitors. Try some gingerbread and spiced cider as you meander through the displays. Some booths will have candy samples to try as well.
A hands-on craft workshop will be held each Sunday afternoon Nov. 14, 21, and Dec 5. Reservations may be made by calling: (574) 453-7353. There will be a small fee for the materials that are used during the workshop. This workshop is limited to four designers each day so be sure to reserve your spot early.
Our local Habitat, an affiliate of Habit for Humanity International will use the funds raised to assist local residents pursue homeownership. Candidates for new homes complete a comprehensive application process. They receive information and training related to budgeting, maintenance, and even assist with home construction where possible.
The ReSale Outlet operates primarily with volunteers, offering a wide variety of gently used, reasonably priced, furniture, appliances, cabinets, and building supplies, generously donated by the community. At the ReSale store, we often receive assistance from our “homeowner” volunteers, well after they are in their new homes. They are paying it forward in the best spirit of Habitat.
