Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 4:36 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, North Syracuse Webster Road, north of East CR 900N, Syracuse. Driver: Jacob T. Reiff, 27, North Syracuse Webster Road, Syracuse. Reiff was traveling north on North Syracuse Webster Road when a deer entered the roadway. His vehicle left the roadway and entered a yard. Reiff complained of right rib, head, and back pain. Damage up to $10,000.
- 11:29 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, South Packerton Road, south of East CR 900S, Claypool. Driver: Anthony A. Nicholas, 48, East Deerwood Court, Warsaw. Nicholas was traveling north on Packerton Road when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $10,000.
- 6:42 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, South SR 13, south of East CR 1250S, North Manchester. Driver: Darren E. Goff, 53, North Heckathorn Drive, North Manchester. Goff was traveling north on SR 13 when a deer entered the roadway. Goff complained of chest and knee soreness due to airbag deployment. Damage up to $10,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 5:17 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, North SR 13, north of East CR 400N, North Webster. Driver: Samantha A. Knight, 35, North Raggedy Ann Road, Cromwell. Knight was traveling north on SR 13 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 10:27 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, East Pierceton Road, east of South CR 500E, Warsaw. Driver: Trey M. Kline, 24, Galapagos Drive, Fort Wayne. Kline was traveling east when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 2:55 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2315 Shelby Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Larry L. Lemler, 80, 12th Road, Bourbon. Lemler was backing his vehicle from a parking lot when he hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Elkhart County
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 4:01 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, CR 146 and CR 21, New Paris. Drivers: Jack Sheets, 70, Nappanee; and James Sommer, 37, Granger. Sommer complained of left shoulder pain and was taken to Elkhart General Hospital. Sheets disregarded a stop sign and was struck by Sommer’s vehicle.
- 2:09 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, CR 36 and CR 37, west of Bristol. Drivers: Alondra Sosa, 18, Ligonier; and Linley Clark, 45, Elkhart. Sosa suffered minor lacerations to the hands and face and complained of back pain. Clark complained of knee pain. Both were taken to Elkhart General Hospital. Sosa disregarded a stop sign and was struck by Clark’s vehicle.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, SR 110 and CR 350E, Rochester. Driver: Chance J. Daley, 19, Carlisle. Hit deer.
- 6:41 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, US 31 and East Olson Road, Rochester. Driver: Darrell T. Hodges, 50, Mishawaka. Hodges’ vehicle went off the road into a ditch.
- 9:46 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, CR 700E and East Division Road, Rochester. Driver: David Bellamy, no other information available. Hit deer.
- 7:03 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, CR 100N, Rochester. Driver: Juan C. Orduno-Ruiz, 49, Rochester. Hit deer.
- 12:10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, SR 25 and CR 825E, Mentone. Driver: Kevin M. Coss, 35, Mentone. Hit deer.
- 9:28 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, US 31 and Olson Road, Rochester. Driver: Matthew R. Gibson, 46, South Bend. Hit deer.
- 7:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, SR 110 and CR 600W, Rochester. Driver: Addie B. Powell, 57, Warsaw. Hit deer.
- 4:10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, SR 25 and CR 300N, Rochester. Driver: Thresa M. Manns, 25, Haubstadt. Hit deer.
Marshall County
Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 11:21 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, US 30, near Tulip Road, Plymouth. Drivers: Arthur Heemer, Walkerton; and Erdene Bayambasuren, Chicago, Ill. Heemer was airlifted to Memorial Hospital, South Bend, for multiple injuries. Heemer was driving his 2019 Subaru Forester east in the westbound lanes of US 30 when his vehicle collided with a 2015 Freightliner seimtractor/trailer driven by Bayambasuren. The accident is under investigation.
