Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 2:51 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, North Detroit Street, near Jalynn Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jason L. Fry, 21, South SR 5, Topeka; and Kenneth J. Meyer, 71, East CR 450N, Leesburg. Fry was traveling south on Detroit Street when he went through an intersection at a red light and hit Meyer’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 10:49 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25, South SR 15, north of West CR 1300S, Silver Lake. Driver: Kristi D. Lundquist, 53, South Old SR 15, Wabash. Lundquist was traveling south on SR 15 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $10,000.
- 9:28 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, West US 30, west of North CR 800W, Warsaw. Driver: Isaac T. Nieto, 20, Arrowhead Drive, Bristol. Nieto was traveling east on East US 30 when his vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
- 5:42 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, North CR 175E and East CR 175N, Warsaw. Drivers: Jeffrey A. Hall, 60, North Memory Lane, Warsaw; and Randall J. Weaver, 28, East CR 175N, Warsaw. Hall was pulling a long trailer with a combine head loaded on it and was traveling east on CR 175N. He was attempting to turn right onto CR 175E. The front corner of the combine head struck the left front corner of Weaver’s vehicle, which was at the southbound stop sign on CR 175E. Damage up to $10,000.
- 4:14 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, South SR 25 and West CR 200S, Warsaw. Drivers: Devin H. Robinson, 22, West Jackson Street, Mentone; and Desiree G. Sanchez, 25, South CR 1000E, Akron. Sanchez was traveling north on SR 25 with the right of way. Robinson’s vehicle was traveling east on CR 200S and failed to yield the right of way to Sanchez’s vehicle. His vehicle hit hers. Sanchez was treated at the scene for complaints of head and hip pain. Damage up to $25,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 2:43 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, South Huntington Street, north of West Bowser Road, Syracuse. Drivers: Vanessa D. Miller, 18, CR 33, Syracuse; and Ryan Reyes, 19, Olive Street, Cromwell. Miller was traveling north on South Huntington Street and failed to yield to the red automatic traffic signal. She failed to yield to the right of way to Reyes’ vehicle that was traveling east on Bowser Road. Her vehicle hit his. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 5:32 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, South Buffalo Street, near Fisher Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: Stephen L. Honeycutt, 52, West 4th Street, North Manchester. Honeycutt was traveling north on South Buffalo Street when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.
