Warsaw Officers Investigating Hit-And-Run Accident Involving Pedestrian

WARSAW — The Warsaw Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian.
At 12:25 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, the Warsaw Police Department responded to a personal injury hit-and-run that occurred on East Old Road 30 in the area of Eastgate Apartments. At that time, an eastbound white truck struck a 26-year-old woman. The vehicle was reported by a witness to have fled the area at a high rate of speed, continuing east on Old Road 30.
Initial investigation of evidence on scene by patrol officers shows the suspect vehicle may be a white Ford F-250 or F-350 between the years of 2011 and 2016. There will be damage to the front passenger area of this vehicle, specifically around the headlight.
The woman was taken to Lutheran Fort Wayne by Lutheran EMS. She sustained injuries to her back, pelvis, and lower extremities. Her status is currently unknown.
