ETNA GREEN — Oct. 2 and Oct. 9 found over 30 vintage and antique tractors plowing close to 200 acres in Etna Green.
Spectators were treated to tractors of various makes and models of tractors plowing through the rain to get the job done.
A 1925 John Deere D steel-rimmed tractor was the tractor to be observed as it is a pretty rare piece of equipment. The fields also yielded passage to a Massey Ferguson 265, an Oliver Super 88, Ford, Allis Chalmer and several Farmall and John Deere tractors.
Those in the field were made up of teams of fathers and sons, grandfathers and grandsons and granddaughters, and non-club members. The club has been hosting plow days for over 25 years.
