Viking Trio Earn TRC Soccer Accolades

AKRON – Three players from the Tippecanoe Valley boys soccer team were honored for their season of play with Three Rivers Conference postseason honors.
Jon Ruiz was named First Team All-TRC while Tyler Jones and Gio Arriaga were both tabbed Honorable Mention All-TRC.
Manchester led the way with six on the All-TRC slate, with Michael Ortiz, Kolby Haecker, Tyler McLain and Logan Bishop as All-TRC and Honorables for Owen Kruschwitz and Trevor Heath.
Others on the All-TRC list included Peru’s Connor Shafer, Maconaquah’s Zach Sparks and Jackson Jones, North Miami’s Parker Mallow, Wabash’s Jacob France, Andrew Dinkins and Solomon France, and Rochester’s Zach Pickens and Layne Backus.
Honorable Mentions went to Maconaquah’s Isaac Lorenz and Kyler Hanson, Peru’s Alvaro Benavente and Logan Gatliff, Wabash’s Greyson DeBoard and Kolton Wilson, Rochester’s RJ Keranko, and North Miami’s Dolan Blakely and Malachi Wiley.
For girls soccer, Rochester paced the All-TRC list with Emma Howdeshell, Macie Nelson, Lilli Eaton and Kaillie Woods, with teammates Kendyll Bradley and Mackenzie Leslie were both Honorable Mention.
Also on the All-TRC girls soccer First Team were North Miami’s Graycie Storm, Wabash’s Kalista Ballschidt, Linda Cordes and Rylee Yoakum, Manchester’s Kindra Stetzel and Hadley Schannep, Maconaquah’s Tekle Robison, Lacey Freeman and Letemarian Robison, and Peru’s Jenna Watkins.
Honorable Mentions went to Manchester’s Addison Brubaker and Ella Clifford, Wabash’s Hannah Layne and Natalie Adams, Pery’s Mackey Hyde and Sam Campos, Maconaquah’s Savannah Robison and Molly Nord, and North Miami’s Alison Smith and Kayla Main.
