Rodney Stanley Howell
PLYMOUTH – Rodney Stanley Howell, of Plymouth, passed away at 12:39 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021, at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 63.
He was born on June 26, 1958, in McDowell, Kentucky to Naretta Jo (McSurley) Howell and Joe Toliver Howell.
Rodney was a 1976 graduate of Triton High School in Bourbon. He then attended International Business College in Fort Wayne, graduating with an associate’s degree in accounting. Rodney loved the outdoors, especially when he could garden and go fishing. He was also a real car buff having won a number of awards at car shows. Rodney was a loving father, son, brother and uncle … he was very beloved by his entire family.
He leaves behind two sons: Caleb and Austin (both of Rochester); A sister: Phyllis King (Bourbon); brother: Gary Howell (Warsaw); and his mother, Naretta Howell (Tippecanoe). Also surviving are eight nieces and nephews, twelve great-nieces and nephews; and his fiancé, Delma. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe, in 2000, and his sister, Brenda Iams, in 2018.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana. Rodney’s life will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Mike Hontz. A graveside service will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bourbon.
