Miguel Cervantes
WARSAW – Miguel Cervantes, of Warsaw, passed away at 3:10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 58.
He was born on Oct. 28, 1962 in the city of Guanajuato in Guanajuato, Mexico, to Raul Cervantes and Maria del Pueblito Tovar Cervantes. On Oct. 31, 1987, he married Estela (Malagon) Cervantes. They shared 33 years of marriage before he passed away.
Miguel has lived in Kosciusko County, Indiana for the past 25 years where he enjoyed attending church with his family at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Warsaw. He enjoyed being outdoors, traveling and especially gardening. Miguel was a hard-working responsible man, who dearly loved his wife and family.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Estela (Malagon) Cervantes; two sons, Michael and Lisandro Cervantes and two daughters: Karina (Juan) Carlos; and Jessica Cervantes (all of Warsaw). He also leaves behind two grandchildren; his father, Raul Cervantes (Mexico); a brother, Everardo Cervantes; and six sisters: Anita, Nancy, Veronica, Margarita, Blanca and Rosa. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria del Pueblito.
Visitation will be held from 4:-6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. A rosary service will take place at 6 p.m.
Miguel’s mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 225 Gilliam Drive, Warsaw, and celebrated by Father Constantino Rocha. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.
