Ronald L. And Sandra J. Davis
A joint funeral service for the late Ronald L. and Sandra J. Davis (née Kelson) will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at St Anne’s Episcopal Church, Warsaw.
Mr. Davis died Oct. 9, 2019, and Mrs. Davis succeeded him in death July 13, 2020.
They are survived by their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Alec (Paula) McCallum, and grandsons, Thomas Deeter (Mrs. Deanna Deeter) and Alec (AJ) McCallum, Jr. The Davises truly were the love of each other’s life, having been “together” since 1952, and married since 1959!
The Davises were longtime members of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church and enjoyed many years of service to the community, including Easter Seals, Rotary, United Way, and Blood Bank. Both Mr and Mrs Davis loved and supported the arts, in Warsaw, South Bend, Fort Wayne, and Sarasota, Fla.
Mr. Davis graduated from Butler University in 1959, where he would serve as a Trustee many years later. From Butler, he was commissioned to the United States Air Force. After his military obligation was served, he joined the accounting firm of Peat, Marwick, and Mitchell in Indianapolis. In 1969, he joined Zimmer, where he remained until his retirement in 1996.
Mrs. Davis received her diploma in nursing from St. Luke’s School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse until the birth of their daughter, when she became a full time homemaker. She volunteered for many years at St. Anne’s, Blood Bank, Meals-on-Wheels, and was a member of Tri-Kappa. She was a wonderful corporate wife and mother, always supportive of her husband, daughter, and grandsons.
The Davises lived in Warsaw from 1969 to 2005, when they relocated to Sarasota, Fla., full time. They remained in Sarasota until 2017, when they moved to Greenville, S.C. to be close to their daughter, Paula Davis McCallum.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: The Ron and Sandra Davis Fund, Kosciusko County Community Foundation, Inc., 102 East Market St., Warsaw, IN 46580.
