Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 5:01 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, West US 30, west of North CR 350W, Warsaw. Drivers: Maria D. Ruiz-Ramirez, 53, East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw; and Lourdes Santamaria, 30, Senecio Avenue, Victorville, Calif. Both Ruiz-Ramirez and Sanataria were traveling west on West US 30. Ruiz-Ramirez was traveling in the right lane of travel when she changed lanes and hit Sanataria’s vehicle. Ruiz-Ramirez had a minor injury to her hand and a bruise to her head. She was taken to a local hospital. Damage up to $50,000.
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 9:27 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1631 Chestnut St., Winona Lake. Driver: Edward L. Turner, 63, Ogden Avenue, Benton Harbor, Mich. Turner was off-road driving on Heritage Trail when he attempted to drive around locked gates. As he did so, his vehicle hit one of the steel gates. Damage up to $5,000.
- 11:40 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 1812 Pierceton Road, Winona Lake. Driver: Heidi A. Gross, 22, North CR 525E, Warsaw. Gross was backing her vehicle when she hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
