Area Police Reports
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incident:
- 5:34 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 100 block of West School Street, Leesburg. A concession building’s door was spray-painted, holes were put in window glass and in wood on the building and fencing was damaged.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following incident:
- 9:35 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 300 block of North Cedar Street, Warsaw. Fraud occurred.
Elkhart County
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incidents:
- 3:22 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 20000 block of US 6, Milford. A male reported he was battered and strangled. He suffered minor injuries and lost consciousness at one point.
- 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, CR 11 and CR 48, New Paris. Police responded to a call regarding a suspicious vehicle. Officers found the people inside the vehicle in possession of a substance intended to look like a scheduled drug. Charges will be requested through the Elkhart County Prosecutor’s Office.
- 11:17 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 13000 block of CR 48, Syracuse. Garry Weybright reported that his barn was on fire.
- 9:39 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 72000 block of CR 43, Syracuse. Bradley Bobeck, Syracuse, reported his barn was on fire.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incidents:
- 6:37 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 1500 block of North Meridian Road, Rochester. Employees at PBS Trucking reported finding the front door broken when they arrived.
- 6:17 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, CR 200N and North Meridian Road, Rochester. Tom Migonis reported a car/deer accident.
- 1:07 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 100 block of East Pearl Street, Kewanna. A window was reported broken out of a vehicle.
Goshen
Officers with the Goshen Police Department investigated the following incident:
- 12:22 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 4500 block of Elkhart Road, Elkhart. Hannah Boord, Nappanee, reported being the victim of a hit and run accident.
