Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 10:08 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, SR 13, Pierceton. Drivers: Stacy R. Joseph, 41, North Calhoun Street, South Whitley; and Eric A. Smith, 35, Lakeview Trail, Leesburg. Joseph was pulling out of the Marathon Gas Station when her vehicle struck Smith’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 11:43 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, Detroit Street, Warsaw. Driver: Ruby J. Wilhite, 86, Connors Court, Warsaw. Wilhite said she was westbound on Pope Street, turning onto South Detroit Street when she heard a thud and realized that a bicyclist had struck her vehicle. A witness said the bicyclist was southbound on Detroit Street and that Wilhite’s vehicle pulled out in front of the bicyclist. The bicyclist complained of pain in her upper left leg and was taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Damage up to $2,500.
- 7:50 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, Maple Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: Dakota P. Crace, 29, Bruner Road, Warsaw. Crace’s vehicle went off the roadway in Oakwood Cemetery, struck a tree and rolled, knocking over a headstone. Crace complained of pain in his side and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Damage up to $50,000.
