SYRACUSE – Golfers couldn’t have asked for a better day to play than what they were dealt Thursday at Maxwelton Golf Club for the 2021 Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber golf outing.
Under blue skies and low humidity, nearly two dozen teams took on the course in support of the chamber and its partners.
The top team in the tournament represented Main Channel Marina, comprised of Jack Zimmerman, Quyen Wing Tran, Darrin Cripe and Bill Cripe. Taking runner-up honors was the Town of Syracuse town council team of Paul Stoelting, Bill Musser, Fred Marques and Richard Dick. Third place went to the Oakwood Resort team.
Prize winners from the event included Peter Barrett from the ball drop, closest to the pin was Dan Buchman, longest drive was Darrin Cripe, longest putt was Susan Stump, and straightest drive was Walley Hoover.
