Derek C. Krichbaum Sr., 36, a resident of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 10, 2021.
Born Oct. 5, 1984, in Wabash, Derek was the son of Allen Krichbaum and Lynn Plummer. He was the youngest of twins and one of four brothers. He attended Warsaw schools and spent most of his lifetime in Warsaw.
An ornery, boisterous person, Derek spoke his mind and wasn’t afraid to share his opinion. He was also selfless and big-hearted, willing to help those he cared about without question. He liked sports of all kinds, especially the Packers, Ohio State, the Lakers and the Yankees; his favorite teams to watch were those his kids played on – he loved watching his kids compete and grow.
Professionally, Derek held several positions in carpentry and construction though he flourished in flooring installation, fitting complex tile patterns with ease.
Those who survive with memories to cherish include his three children: Deegan, Olivia, and Derek Jr.; brothers, Daron Krichbaum (Maria Montelongo), Drew Krichbaum (Heather Voter) and Duane Frantz; mother, Lynn Plummer; father, Allen Krichbaum; and maternal grandmother, Marta Konkle. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eileen Krichbaum and Charles Plummer.
