Area Accident Reports
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 1:11 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, East Center Street and North McKinley Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Zakary S. Turpin, 20, North Lake Street, Warsaw, and Ashley N. Gamsby, 29, Sophie Lane, Warsaw. Turpin said he was traveling southbound on North McKinley Street, Warsaw. He said he was making a delivery for Jimmy John’s and glanced at his GPS to make sure he was going to the right address. He said he looked left and right and pulled south across East Center Street. He said he wasn’t sure if Gamsby was speeding up but said her vehicle pulled in front of his as he crossed East Center Street. His vehicle hit hers. Gamsby said she was at Dunkin’ and pulled out of the restaurant onto East Center Street eastbound. She said she began accelerating and when she crossed the intersection at McKinley Street, Turpin’s vehicle came from the north and hit her vehicle. Damage: Up to $10,000.
- 10:13 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, Argonne Road north of East Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: Hector Rodriguez-Flores, 52. Rodriguez-Flores was traveling southbound on Argonne Road when he approached the viaduct. He said he approached slowly due to not being sure he was under the height clearance. As his vehicle approached the viaduct, his trailer made contact with the bridge. Damage: Up to $10,000.
