Raymond Long, 84, Warsaw, passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, in his residence.
Born June 21, 1937, in Allen County, Raymond was the son of Toby and Ruth Long. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Buell on May 23, 1964.
Ray worked for many years at Clausings and Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw. He was the owner of a wrecker service.
Ray enjoyed working at the Warsaw Speedway, and in 2018, he was inducted into the Warsaw Speedway Hall of Fame. He enjoyed talking on his CB radio for many years and also installed many towers and antennas.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Carolyn Long, Warsaw; son Eldon (Alicia) Long, Warsaw; sister Marilyn Perish; and six grandchildren, Austin, Kayle, Aydon, Lela and Easton Long and Alex Kellogg.
He was preceded in passing by two brothers, George Brockerman and Wayne Long.
A public graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8. Pastor Howard Immell will officiate the service. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw has been entrusted with arrangements for the family.
