Plymouth 3, Wawasee 0
Tough enter into the Northern Lakes Conference for the previously unbeaten Warriors Thursday night in the Marshall County seat.
Plymouth took the match 25-16, 25-20, 25-18 to knock Wawasee (10-1) from the ranks of the unbeaten.
Leslie Vazquez led Wawasee with 10 kills, seven digs and two blocks, Liz Miller had six digs and three aces and Amanda Allen had 21 assists.
Wawasee’s JV beat Plymouth 26-24, 25-17. Emma Young led the Warriors with 15 assists and five digs while Kenzie Hackleman had five kills and five digs.
Warsaw 3, Goshen 0
Warsaw started its NLC campaign with a 25-11, 25-16, 25-11 sweep of the RedHawks in the Kosciusko County seat.
Cora West and Kylie Smith combined for 16 digs and 12 aces, Kaylee Weeks had 10 kills and three blocks, and Avery Hales sent up 36 assists.
JV accolades went to Warsaw in a 25-15, 25-8 decision. Kenzie Chivington had six digs and three aces among Warsaw’s victory lap.
The Tiger freshmen rolled 25-5, 25-6, Elena Chandler posting three kills in the win.
NorthWood 3, Concord 1
The Panthers returned to the newly renovated Pit and held off Concord 25-12, 23-25, 25-19, 25-15.
Annika Bennett had a big night distributing the ball with 46 assists and a pair of aces. Sophia Barner had 18 kills, Macy Lengacher had 18 digs and Claire Payne added 13 kills and five blocks.
Concord claimed the JV match 25-18, 24-25, 15-12. Emery Porter had 16 digs and 16 assists for the Panthers.
Tippecanoe Valley 3, Maconaquah 1
Valley moved to 3-0 in the Three Rivers Conference with a 13-25, 25-21, 25-19, 26-24 affair in the shadows of Grissom Air Reserve Base.
Mallory Durkes again led Valley at the net with 15 kills and three blocks, Brayden Baney had 17 digs and three aces, and Macy Kirchenstien had 19 assists.
