In Northern Lakes Conference action at Goshen Middle School, the hosts held form to defeat the Tigers.
Pi Wellington was nearly flawless in beating Patrick Stump love and one, as was the one doubles team of Joel Byler and Carter Schmucker, beating Nick Boren and Zach Nicholas by the same score.
Isaac Stahly beat Keller Bailey three and love, Moses Sawatzky defeated Wil Boren four and two, and the two dubs team from Goshen of Myles McLaughlin and Moses Kratzer beat Khareus Miller and Jack Reed 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
Goshen won all six of the JV courts.
Wawasee 5, Whitko 0
Wawasee took care of business Tuesday against potential sectional rival Whitko in Whitley County.
Joey Harper allowed just one game to Logan Hoffman and each of Wawasee’s doubles teams – Grant Brooks and Blaine Baut at one, and Ty Brooks and Devin Kuhn at two, both allowed to games in beating Whitko’s pairings of Jackson Hollenbaugh and Caleb Beer, and Keaton Cornell and Braden Wolfe.
Zeke Keim took out Blake Schroeder three and two, and the lone match to go long was at No. 1, where Holden Babb outlasted David Ousley 7-6 (7-4), 6-4.
Wawasee’s Jay Duncan had the lone JV win.
Peru 5, Tippecanoe Valley 0
The perennial regional dwellers from Peru were too much for Valley on its home court.
The Tigers gave up just five games across the four contested courts in a near perfect showing Tuesday evening.
Fremont 4, NorthWood 1
In a rare matchup, Fremont barnstormed NorthWood in a freshly drawn match in Nappanee.
Ethan Bock and Nick Miller both won their singles matches via shutout over Charles Anderson and Isaac Roberts, and Brody Foulk added a three and one win over Wes Steiner.
Fremont added a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win from Connor Trabaugh and Alex Chilenski at No. 2 doubles while NorthWood got its lone court in a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 win by Brady Chupp and Chaz Yoder over Sam Verdin and Josh Sherbondy.
Fremont won all five of the JV matchups.
