Rep. Jim Banks says President Joe Biden is unfit for office and Rep. Jackie Walorski is calling for Biden’s resignation due to the suicide bombing deaths in Afghanistan.

I didn’t hear Banks and Walorski calling for Trump’s resignation when thousands of Covid deaths resulted from his months of denial and inaction.

As the virus was spreading across the country, Trump and his allies insisted Covid would go away, and pushed malaria drugs and bleach. Where were their calls for resignation then? Maybe they were too busy trying to help Trump subvert our democracy and overturn the election.

Do they think we forgot that while the pandemic was raging they wasted America’s time by joining the Texas attorney general’s attempt to throw out legally cast votes in four states that Trump lost? Their willingness to participate in Trump’s attempt to overthrow the election helped fuel the Capitol insurrection and the deaths that resulted. Walorski’s call for Biden’s resignation stinks of hypocrisy. Banks and Walorski lost all moral authority when they failed to stand up to Trump. Their blatant attempt to score political points while families are still grieving is shameful.
