WINONA LAKE — Despite temps in the high 80s Saturday, Aug. 28, a large crowd turned out for Winona Lake’s Canal Days. The family-friendly event features craft and art booths, food vendors and kids’ activities.
The main attraction was the fifth annual Cardboard Boat Regatta, which raises funds for Fellowship Missions of Warsaw.
Thirteen homemade cardboard boats were entered in the race. The boats were constructed using only cardboard and duct tape.
Eight of the boats sank before completing the course.
