Warsaw Library Staff Announce September Events

WARSAW — Warsaw Community Public Library will host the following events in September.
The Friends of the Library Story Emporium Bookstore will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 11 and 25. The bookstore is located at the library and will feature back-to-school specials.
Watch ‘Unbox the L.O.T.’ at 4 p.m. Sept. 8. Learn how to play Splendor, an engine building game that can be completed in 30 minutes. This game may be borrowed with a library card. View online on Facebook and YouTube.
Preschool story time is back at the library at 10:15 a.m. Sept. 13, 20 and 27. Those ages three through five will enjoy stories, songs, games and special activities with Mr. Duane. Can’t make it on Monday? Each story time will repeat on Fridays at 10:15 a.m.
Humana representative Ben Snyder will present ‘Sugars, Carbs and Diabetes’ at 2 p.m. Sept. 15. Learn ways to help control this condition, plus get diet and exercise tips. A retired nurse and type 2 diabetic will be on hand to answer questions. Please register in advance.
Toddler story time returns to the library at 10:15 a.m. Sept. 15, 22 and 29. Those two years and younger will enjoy age-appropriate activities and stories with Miss Amy and Miss Stephanie.
Book-a-Librarian for 30 minutes for one-on-one help with electronic devices, research or computer help. Schedule a time from 10 a.m. to noon or 2-4 p.m. Sept. 15.
Local attorney and former Kosciusko County Prosecutor David Kolbe will explain the legal system in Kosciusko County and how it works. Register in advance for this event held at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 21.
Lego Club meets from 10:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 25. Drop in and build solo or as a group. Library staff will supply the Legos and you supply the creativity. Adult guardians are asked to remain in the library during the event.
Sue Delegrange will focus on the health benefits of olive oil and vinegar during her monthly nutrition series at 1 p.m. Sept. 27. Please register in advance.
Needle felt a cat with Rachael Kruger at 5 p.m. Sept. 27. The $25 fee covers all supplies and instruction. This workshop is for those 13 and older; minors must be accompanied by an adult guardian. Payment is due at advance registration.
