Steven D. Davidson, 65, of Kimmell, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021, at home. He was born on Jan. 25, 1956, the son of Otha Jr. and Mary Ida (Patton) Davidson, Monticello, Kentucky. On Sept. 28, 1991, he married Nancy Neher; she survives.
Steve moved to the area with his family in sixth grade and graduated from Goshen High School in 1973. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandkids. Steve was a jack of all trades and enjoyed gardening, baking, drag racing, hot rods and classic cars. He enjoyed collecting knives, fixing things, and he was “not going to pay to have it done if he could do it himself!”
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Davidson of Kimmell; two sons, Jeremy (Heather) Davidson of Syracuse and Jason Davidson of Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren, Erica (Connor) Treadway of Elkhart, Cameron Davidson of Syracuse, and Stazia Cobb of Indianapolis; two-great-grandchildren, Levi Treadway and Lachlan Treadway, both of Elkhart; six siblings, Everett (Sherry) Patton of New Paris, Danny (Linda) Davidson of Somerset, Kentucky, Betsy Penrose of Goshen, Loretta (Rick) Kline of Avilla, Becky (Larry) Kauffman of New Paris, and Jeff Davidson of Bristol; and a furbaby, Bindi, at home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patricia Crabtree; a brother-in-law, John Penrose; and his best fury friend, Buddy.
A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier.
The family will host a picnic to celebrate Steve’s life at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
