Waneta May Graybill, 90, Goshen, passed away Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, at her son’s residence in Bremen, where she had been since November of 2020. She was born Oct. 7, 1930, in Waterford, Calif. to Albert and Phoebe (Marconett) Royer. On Jan. 18, 1948, she married James W. Graybill, he preceded her in death after 67 years of marriage.
Surviving are children: Cliff (Diana) Graybill, Bremen; Joyce (Gary) Rheinheimer, Goshen; four grandchildren:Michael (Jennifer) Graybill, Indianapolis; Robert Graybill, Elkhart; Susan (Tom) Rheinheimer-Franko, Bremen; John (Andrea) Rheinheimer, Winona Lake; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild on the way due September; and sister-in-law, Norma Royer, Elkhart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Edward Royer and half-sister Dessie Scoggins.
Waneta enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. James and her would take baked goods and produce to the Wakarusa Market on Saturday mornings. They also delivered The Paper for several years. She loved when the family would get together so she could cook for everyone. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very dear to her heart, and she very much looked forward to being a great-great-grandma next month. She attended Bible Baptist Church in Wakarusa with her family.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, and one hour prior to a 10 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, Aug. 17, both at Bible Baptist Church, 205 E. Waterford St., Wakarusa, IN 46573. Officiating will be Pastor David Harper and Pastor Jeremy Chesley of Bible Baptist Church assisted by Denver Brumbaugh. Burial will follow at Yellow Creek Frame Cemetery.
