Beverly A. Bishir
Beverly A. Bishir, 77, Churubusco, passed away Aug. 12, 2021, at her residence.
Born in Marion, on June 7, 1944, to the late Boyd and Marilyn (Cochran) Evans. She spent her formative years in Churubusco, graduated from Van Buran High School.
Beverly was married to David P. Bishir, in Marion, Nov. 13, 1963.
She worked as a coordinator at Job Works in Kendallville for 12 years, retiring in 1998.
Beverly was a devote Christian and attended Sugar Grove Church. She enjoyed fishing with Dave, listening to her Jenny Wrens, and loved her NHRA Team Bishir Racing, where she served as Co-Crew Chief. More than all that, she loved her family and they will miss her birthday calls, where she would sing, “Happy Birthday.”
Beverly is survived by her husband of 58 years, David P. Bishir; one son, David (Brenda) Bishir; four daughters: Marilyn Buchs, Kathy Bishir, Ruth (Marty) Daniels, Peggy (Scott) Jordan, and Lori (Brad) Ingram; two sisters: Barbara (Don) Jenks and Karen (Persey) Oliver; two brothers: Leon (Noni) Evans and Bill Evans; sixteen grandchildren and thirty-two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Luann Lee, Shirley Bramblett, Sylvia Huffman, and Doretha Ketring; a son-in-law, Mike Buchs in 2018; and her beloved dog, Snapper.
Memorial service will be 4 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 15, with calling two hours prior to service at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Huntertown Chapel.
