Kenneth “Kenny” Menzie Jr., 70, Nappanee, passed away at 2:22 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021, at his residence after an extended illness. He was born Nov. 10, 1950, in Rochester, to Kenneth Sr. and Frances (Heckman) Menzie.
He was a 1968 graduate of LaPorte High School and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Kenny lived most of his life in the Nappanee and Bourbon area and was a long-time employee of Holiday Rambler Corporation.
On Oct. 14, 1978, he married Linda Burkholder in Elkhart. He attended New Life Christian and World Outreach in Warsaw and was a devout family man.
Kenny enjoyed fishing and in his early married life he enjoyed hunting.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years Linda Menzie of Nappanee; eight children: Amy Lynn Tom of Decatur, Mich.; Zeb (Heather) Wise of Indianapolis; Joshua Joe (Margaret) Menzie of Nappanee; Dawn Nichole (Keith) Miller of Goshen; Shawn Brandon (Ruth) Menzie of Bristol; Aaron James Menzie of Nappanee; Jennifer Michelle (Brenton) Graber of Seneca, S.C.; and Angela Marie Menzie of Nappanee; and 17 grandchildren.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Joscelyn Pearl; and two sisters, Karen Weirick and Kathy Keene.
Friends and family may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, and from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at the New Life Christian Church and World Outreach (744 S 325 E, Warsaw, IN 46582). There will also be one hour of visitation from 9-10 a.m., prior to funeral services at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 14, at New Life Christian Church and World Outreach with Rev. John B. Lowe II officiating. Burial and military graveside services will follow at Stony Point Cemetery in Clunette.
